Thanks to a multi-million-pound investment from Nexfibre, more than 5,000 additional homes and businesses in Doncaster now have access to Virgin Media’s full-fibre broadband for the very first time.
The latest expansion delivers average top speeds of 1,130Mbps which is up to 20 times faster than the local average providing local residents with a future-proofed connection ideal for modern digital life.
Cellex played a key role in the infrastructure delivery that has enabled Virgin Media O2’s services to go live in the area. The completion of this first phase marks an important milestone in Nexfibre’s ambition to bring gigabit connectivity to five million premises by 2026.
The enhanced network will support Doncaster’s growing digital needs, with hyper fast broadband perfectly suited to working from home, streaming Ultra HD content, gaming, and staying connected through video calls.
